Total Art!

I went to Oxford City...again... =.=
and this time... i dunno where to go...
I have walk almost everywhere in Oxford already...
except for the Christ Church which i dunno why i still cant find it.. lol.
Had brunch today...

Pointlessly walking around de city XD..
and today... this guy came and perform...
quite impressive... onli he drop his it few times =.=
but.. i can't do it either... so.. he is good =)

Walk pass the Welsh National Opera...
really wanted to watch this but the last day is today...
no luck... lol...
there is one featuring shakespeare's work soon...
gonna go watch that! forgot the name XD


I then came across the Art Museum...
and there is something goin on there...
'ASHMOLEAN'
what is it?.. you are asking.. haha..
its a museum of ancient pieces related to art...
involving architecture, art, music, literature and science.

This is Cicero...
The statue was excavated by the Earl of Arundel in Rome in 1613
It shows the officer dress of the Roman citizen by Augustus.
It is possible to identify their classes by the dresscode of Roman citizens.


Here is Eros asleep...
The torch which the youthful god leaning is pointed down
to symbolise the extinction of a human life...
Sleeping Euros is often related to funerary context...
Bow and quiver, the instruments of pain inflicting activities...
are leaning against his right leg...

There is also an exhibition about the history of Violin..
A board here showing how to make a violin..
and here is the parts of a violin...


Then there is the oldest violin in the world!
Messiah!
This violin dates from Stradivari's 'Golden Period'
of about 1700-1720.
It is named Messiah...
as it is usually lies on the hand of collector instead of performer..
this shows how much it is not being used...
and often unable to be seen as expected...

A very nicely carved statue =)


The most crowded area in the museum is...
the Egypt portion...
there are just so much things to be seen..
and so much knowledge to gain...
from history to geography...
art to music...
maths...and so much more...
their carving and writing are brilliantly amazing..lol


This is a real papyrus i saw today!
and there are ways to read it...
and things like alphabet to learn....

LASTLY!..this is interesting...
it is the numbers system of Egyptian...
Look at it...haha...
maybe you can do sum simple maths..
or even create ur own codes with it =) haha
something interesting worth looking at =)
